Dhurata Hoxha: USAID provides assistance regarding integration process reform

Prishtina, 20 March 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted in a meeting Ms Gretchen Birkle, USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator of Bureau for Europe and Eurasia in Washington, where they discussed about the achievements and challenges of the integration process.

Minister Hoxha highlighted the achievements of the integration process and the challenges of Euro-Atlantic integration, by assessing Kosovo’s progress in this regard. The Minister assessed as very important the support of USAID in the implementation of state-building priorities such as rule of law and economic development.

“USAID through its projects provides a strong support of American citizens for Kosovo. I want to express the deep gratitude for the support of USA and USAID, as well as express our full commitment to further advance this cooperation”, said Minister Hoxha.

Whereas Ms Birkle said that USAID remains committed to support Kosovo’s priorities, and praised so far achievements.

She also highly praised the achievements in the integration process, the implementation of the SAA and the European Reform Agenda, by adding that USAID remains committed to help Kosovo in economic development, rule of law and other areas in the interest of the country.
