Prishtina, 29 November 2018 – Deputy Minister of European Integration, Mr.Lirak Çelaj, met today with Lead Negotiator for consolidation of treaties with Western Balkan countries in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom Mr. Michael Davidson.
Topics discussed during the meeting were: the issues and the transit procedures of the bilateral trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Kosovo in the framework of the relations during the transition period after the BREXIT process.
Additionally, it was noted that the essence of the future agreement is related to ensuring the continuity of the free movement of people, services and goods between the two countries.
At the same time, Mr. Çelaj and Mr. Davidson agreed that the process of bilateral trade agreement between the two countries should be carried out in the spirit of mutual cooperation by also expressing readiness to start negotiations on the bilateral agreement between the two countries.
