Adequate steps regarding European agenda and Visa Liberalization

Minister Çitaku and Minister Rexhepi held the next visit with European Affairs Commission in the French Senate, during this occasion they exchanged ideas and experiences on how Kosovo can advance as much in the process. Members of French Commission gave their views on how Kosovo continues to have a good cooperation with members of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration. Considering consensus of all political parties in the country to the process of European integration, this cooperation could be enhanced and intensified as much, in order to contribute to the process. Also, French senators praised both ministers for holding first free elections, for the first time in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo as well on the good election process

The next meeting of both Kosovo Ministers was with the Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. Luc Derepas, with whom it was discussed regarding visa liberalization process for Kosovo, Kosovar migration to France, commitment and the further steps that the Government of Kosovo is undertaking in order to prevent the migration rate of Kosovars to the Schengen countries. Mr. Derepas, spoke in details about the current situation regarding Kosovars asylum seekers in France and called the citizens of Kosovo not to be the prey of smugglers and other fake beneficiaries for a better perspective to emigrate to France, because France same as other Schengen countries will reject asylum justification statements for asylum for Kosovo citizens, due to the fact that Kosovo citizens are not threatened, and security is on respectable level, therefore asylum in France will be refused.
