Vienna, 29 January 2019 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met in Vienna the Minister for EU, Art, Culture and Media of Austria, Gernot Blümel, with whom she discussed about Kosovo’s integration process and in particular about the importance of the decision regarding visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens after fulfilment of all criteria.
Minister Hoxha stressed that Austria’s support is very important for Kosovo and its institutions.
“We have proven our commitment that we want to implement the reforms, the SAA, to strengthen the rule of law and to improve the quality of life for our citizens, and we need support in terms of integration process and regarding integration in international organizations, but in particular we need from EU to keep its promise and not to keep our citizens in isolation, stated Minister Hoxha, by seeking again the Austria’s support for the decision-making process for visa liberalization.
Minister for EU, Art, Culture and Media of Austria, Gernot Blümel, emphasized the Austria’s support for the integration process. He reaffirmed Austria’s commitment for visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens, EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, in which process Kosovo is treated equally as other countries in the region.
