Prishtina, 30 November 2016 – The Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) Monitoring Committee, co-chaired by Ministry of European Integration and European Commission, held its regular annual meeting.
The discussions of this meeting focused on the sectoral approach of IPA fund programming, same time it was recognized the progress made by Kosovo in drafting strategic papers for all sectors to access EU funds. During the meeting it was also discussed the progress made in the management of twinning projects, preparations for EU direct budget support, EU assistance for 4 municipalities in the northern part of Kosovo, Cross-border Cooperation programs and challenges in adoption of laws which hinder the implementation of EU projects.
Also, the Committee discussed on concrete steps for Kosovo’s access to EU programs, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of EU projects implemented in Kosovo.
