Portugal supports the European agenda of Republic of Kosovo

Prishtina, 15 December 2015 – Deputy Minister of European Integration, Mr. Ramadan Ilazi, hosted today in a meeting the new ambassador of the Republic of Portugal in Hungary, non-resident for Kosovo, Mrs. Maria José Morais Pires.

Deputy Minister Ilazi, considered excellent the cooperation and relations between Kosovo and Portugal and congratulated the Ambassador on her new assignment.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Ilazi informed the Ambassador about the steps being taken by the Republic of Kosovo to advance the European agenda by focusing on visa liberalization process for which he informed the Ambassador that Kosovo has met the technical criteria in this regard.

Whereas Ambassador of Portugal Mrs. Maria José Morais Pires congratulated the Deputy minister Ilazi for signing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Kosovo and the European Union and confirmed the support of her country to  Kosovo’s European agenda.

Also she expressed the readiness to deepen the cooperation in many fields between the two countries.
