Minister Reka met with representatives of the civil society

Prishtina, 27 February 2020 – The Minister of European Integration, Mr. Blerim Reka today hosted the Executive Director of Forum for Civil Initiatives FIQ, Mrs. Dajana Berisha, who at the same time is a representative of the Resource Center Kosovo. Resource Center Kosovo is a project funded by the EU Office in Kosovo and implemented by FIQ and local partners.

Minister Reka assured Mrs. Berisha for substantive co-operation, in particular, with regard to consultations for the preparation of the IPA III Instrument for Pre-Accession document praising the role of the civil society as agents of genuine change in policy-making and decision-making processes at all levels of governance.

On the other hand, Mrs. Berisha briefed Minister Reka on the work of the Resource Center Kosovo, as a liaison mechanism of the NGOs of Kosovo with the EU Office in Kosovo regarding the sustainable development of the organizational capacity of NGOs outside of Prishtina with the aim of creating an expertise in the civil society that is capable of contributing substantially to the drafting, implementation and monitoring of policies at every level of government.

Further, the discussion revolved around the possibility of organizing regular meetings of the MEI and the Resource Center Kosovo for cooperation in the field of European Integration process.​
