Minister Hoxha: We welcome the objective appraisal of our engagement in integration process

Prishtina, 25 January 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted today in a meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, Piero Cristoforo Sardi. They discussed about achievements and challenges of integration process.

Minister Dhurata Hoxha, in the meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to the Republic of Kosovo, Piero Cristoforo Sardi, stated that they welcome the objective appraisal of their engagement in the integration process, becoming part of assessment of the EU Enlargement Plan with regional countries, with deadlines and duties that specify our path.

“Institutions and citizens welcome the objective appraisal of our engagement in the integration process now in February by becoming part of the assessment of EU Enlargement Plan with countries of our region, specifying deadlines and duties that specify the integration path of the Republic of Kosovo. We have the will and patience to fulfil all our obligations”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that SAA implementation remains a continuous priority.

Ambassador Piero Cristoforo Sardi, stated that the future of region is within European integrations, having the same rights and obligations and Euro-Atlantic values.

Kosovo has proved to be ready to face challenges, and surely demarcation is the key issue of this process. Fight against corruption, strengthening the rule of law and good neighbourly relations are several of priorities which should be addressed and recorded with visible results, stated the Italian Ambassador Sardi, providing support in this process.
