Prishtina, 7 September 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted in a meeting ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Kosovo, and informed them of the process and sought support for visa liberalization.
“The only way for Kosovo to move forward is the EU integration process and SAA and ERA implementation” stated Minister Hoxha and sought support from ambassadors for the most rapid realization of visa-free movement.
Minister Hoxha informed ambassadors of the campaign for visa liberalization that will be expanded until mid of September, in cooperation with the Office of the Prime Minister, supported by GIZ. The campaign, as Minister mentioned, will involve Assembly and other relevant institutions as well.
“We have to provide more information on EU skeptical states. Therefore, we soon expect to provide detailed information, with focus on reforms for rule of law, migration statistics, border management and human rights”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that we are ready to provide the whole possible cooperation to ensure EU member states that visa liberalization will not be abused, but also informing them of the necessity for visa-free movement.
In the end, a discussion took place with the ambassadors, and Minister Hoxha considered it to be very encouraging and welcomed the ambassadors’ support, concretizing the campaign of the Ministry of European Integration with intensification of activities for the most rapid finalization of visa-free movement.
