Prishtina, 26 March 2019 – In the roundtable with the topic “Kosovo’s path towards European Integration from the perspective of Trio’s Presidency of the Council of EU”, with the presence of ambassadors of Croatia, Finland and Romania, the Minister of European Integration Dhurata Hoxha praised their decision-making.
The organizers of this roundtable are the diplomatic missions of the top trio of the Council of EU, respectively, the Embassy of Croatia, Finnish Embassy and the Romanian Liaison Office in Kosovo, in cooperation with the Legal and Policy Studies Group. At this roundtable, with Ambassador Maria Kapitanović, Ambassador Pia Stjernvall, Mr. Daniel Onişor and other guests it was discussed about Kosovo’s achievements, challenges and its path towards EU integration.
The EU remains our only address for sustainable peace, prosperity and equal opportunities for our citizens, said Minister Hoxha.
“From the Presidency of the Council of EU and the EU in general, we request a fair approach, an evaluation proportional to our achievements, same as for other countries aspiring EU integration, receiving the deserved attention”, said Minister Hoxha, against various uncertainties regarding developments in the EU and abroad.
“I welcome the vision of the three successive presidencies (Trio) of the Council of EU, and I express my commitment on behalf of the institutions to cooperate closely towards the realization of our common vision”, pointed out Minister Hoxha.
Afterwards, through participants’ discussions, positive approaches to Kosovo’s achievements were welcomed, taking into consideration the best practices of the integration process from the countries that have already achieved this goal, as well as strengthening the rule of law, implementing the SAA with comprehensive reforms, making Kosovo ready to become part of the values and of the big European family
