Prishtina, 11 June 2018 – At the meeting of the Ministerial Council for European Integration, Minister Dhurata Hoxha thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for his commitment and support to gather the Council and for his support to the integration process in general. In the opening remarks for the meeting of the Ministerial Council for European Integration, Mr Haradinaj requested from all institutions to perform their duties and fulfil their responsibilities with regard to the integration process, in accordance with deadlines and without delay.
“In these meetings, we want to know where we stand in terms of the European Reform Agenda arising from the agreement, since the contractual relationship with the EU, i.e. the SAA priorities plan, is a goal in itself. It is now the right time to have the reporting on the situation as realistic as possible”, said Prime Minister Haradinaj, demanding advancement of the process with a basic database showing the achievements of the European Reform Agenda and the progress of each activity of interest to the process.
The Minister of European Integration thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for his commitment and support to gather the Council and for his support to the integration process in general.
“Let’s focus on fulfilling the obligations arising from the European Reform Agenda and show our commitment to fulfil our obligations to push forward the Euro-integration process”, said Minister Hoxha.
The Minister asked the heads of institutional responsibilities, present at the meeting, to report while focusing on the achievements that have been noted and on the timeframes during which the priorities set in the agenda are expected to be fulfilled, with such priorities being accompanied by concrete information on progress and stagnation, identifying the reasons for the stagnation.
Ministers Mahir Jagxhillar, Abelard Tahiri, Pal Lekaj, Bejtush Gashi and Bajram Hasani reported during the meeting, while Minister Hoxha concluded the meeting with the conclusions, duties and timeframes for the implementation of the European Reform Agenda.
After the meeting, Prime Minister Haradinaj and Minister Hoxha held a press conference where they responded to journalists’ questions about the integration process, visa liberalization and other governmental issues.
