Minister Hoxha: Kosovo to have a clear path towards EU integration

Prishtina, 24 January 2018 – Minister Hoxha, stated in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Pfandler, that EU Western Balkan integration strategy should be inclusive and should not skip Kosovo.

Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted today in a meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Gernot Pfandler, whereby discussed on the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and integration process challenges.

“SAA implementation is of essential priority to our institutions. The implementation of European Reform Agenda is our main priority. We welcome the integration strategy for this part of Europe; however, I consider that the enlargement strategy for Western Balkans shall be incomplete without Kosovo, the chapter dedicated to our country with all designations as for other countries, not avoiding not only timelines, but detailed determinations for integrating process”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that the Republic of Kosovo shares Euro-Atlantic values.

Ambassador Pfandler highlighted the significance of European Reform Agenda, by offering full support to the integration processes of Republic of Kosovo.

Integration agenda is inclusive in the regional terms, stated Ambassador adding that Enlargement Strategy for Western Balkans will be a valuable document for years to come as roadmap and determinant for countries aspiring integration processes. Kosovo, was, is and will be an indispensible part of regional developments, contributing to these processes through the values proclaimed with these agendas, stated Ambassador Pfandler.
