Prishtina, 12 April 2018 – At the invitation of Daniel Server, an American expert on the Balkans, Minister Hoxha participated in a discussion at the Centre for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University, where she discussed the European path of Kosovo as part of the Enlargement Strategy.
On this occasion, Minister Hoxha reiterated her stance that Kosovo has no alternatives but to follow its path towards the EU and that this path is quite clear. She also said that Kosovo institutions are doing a good job in meeting the required criteria, especially through reforms in many sectors.
Minister Hoxha stressed that the publication of the EU Enlargement Strategy has marked a new step in Kosovo’s integration path and that Kosovo institutions are committed to taking advantage of this momentum and accelerate its way to integration.
The Minister also stressed the importance of and expectations about the visa liberalization process, a step that will bring Kosovo citizens closer to the European Union.
This discussion was mainly attended by diplomats and experts on Balkans issues, who posed questions to Minister Hoxha about the Kosovo integration process and about the work of Kosovo institutions in this regard.
