Minister Hoxha has welcomed the adoption, by the Assembly, of laws important for the integration process

Prishtina, 20 September 2018 – The Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, has welcomed the adoption by the MP’s of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo of three very important laws for the integration process.

Minister Hoxha stated that “today’s voting of the draft laws, pushes forward our country in many areas, contributing to the integration process, thus I thank the MP’s of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for voting. With the adoption of these agreements, we will get our country ready for integration”.

Today’s voting of the draft laws, pushes forward our country in many areas, contributing to the integration process, thus I thank the MP’s of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for voting. With the adoption of these agreements, we will get our country ready for integration.

Human rights, energy efficiency, the digital economy, food safety, the relation of education with the labor market and social policies are the areas where funds of the First Agreement will be used, worth up to EUR 48 million, an EU assistance granted for Kosovo.

The “Europe for Citizens” programme contains funds of EUR 187 million, and aims to promote active European citizenship and focuses on local authorities, policy research organizations, citizen groups and civil society organizations.

Kosovo also, with the Erasmus+ Programme, becomes an EU partner country and benefits from various European assistance policies, such as the European Qualifications Framework, Eurydice, Europass and Euroguidance, and electronic platforms (eTwinning and EPALE).

Kosovo thus becomes equal with the Western Balkan neighboring countries and with the EU member states for policy support networks, strengthening this way the European perspective and the future towards the EU.
