Prishtina, 15 February 2017 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met today with the Ambassador of Slovenia to Kosovo, Mr. Bojan Bertoncelj, whereby discussed the integration process achievements and challenges, deepening of cooperation in this process and the experiences of this process.
Minister Hoxha expressed her respect and gratitude to the Slovenia`s support given to Kosovo, pointing out that the friendship of Slovenia is proven for the new history of Kosovo. Furthermore, she discussed the EU Enlargement Strategy for the Western Balkans, underlining the importance of the integration process, the maximum engagement of Kosovo institutions to the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the European Reform Agenda, seeking further support from Slovenia, a friend country that consistently supported the positive processes of the Republic of Kosovo.
“We welcome the support of Slovenia in the processes that Kosovo is going through, and the continuation of excellent cooperation between our two countries. We are grateful for the comprehensive support that Slovenia provided, in particular to the integration of Kosovo into international institutions, a step that our citizens expect. We are aware that by implementing the SAA, we approximate our country with Euro-Atlantic integration values”, stated Minister Hoxha, pointing out that these processes enjoy a national consensus.
Ambassador Bertoncelj also appreciated the cooperation between the two countries and expressed his dedication to further extend these relations, especially to the European integration process.
“Kosovo has succeeded in this process, the focus remains on the rule of law, good neighbourliness, improvement of quality of life of citizens, economic development and implementation of international agreements of Kosovo, we believe that Kosovo will successfully achieve such challenges, and we offer full support in this process”, stressed the Ambassador of Slovenia, Mr. Bojan Bertoncelj.
