Prishtine, 13 November 2017 – Today, the European Integration Working Committee, chaired by the Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, convened, thus bringing together the bearers of the responsibilities of the institutions involved in this process.
“This working group aims at helping the process and identifying the challenges from key issues, deriving from the obligations of the European Reform Agenda” highlighted Minister Hoxha.
The following issues were discussed at the meeting such as: the options of the new law on salaries, according to the drafted Concept Document, restructuring of KIESA, new law on inspections, approval of the law on energy efficiency, establishment of the mechanism for funding investments on energy efficiency, approval of the law on higher education, as well as the establishment of the agency for curriculum, standards and evaluation, as a result of contribution given by the representatives of respective departments.
Speaking about the purpose of the meeting, Minister Hoxha said that the purpose of this working group is to monitor the implementation of the ERA and urged general secretaries of the Ministries to work intensively on meeting the obligations that are part of the integration process.
Similarly, the Minister promised her support to all Ministries in this process and urged them to address all the challenges and eventual issues, so that the Minister shall then raise them to the highest political level.
