Further advancement of Kosovo`s European agenda and possibilities of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, were the central topics during both these meetings.
Upon meeting with Chief Diplomat of Malta, Mr. George William Vella, Minister Çollaku informed him on recent major developments in Kosovo, namely developments in European integration, entry into force and commencement of SAA implementation, and the positive recommendation from European Commission on visa liberalization for Kosovars.
Minister Çollaku also underlined that Kosovo remains committed in enhancing and strengthening cooperation in order to expedite its European journey, also during Malta`s Presidency of the Council of the EU, respectively from January next year.
On the other hand, the Chief Diplomat of Malta, Mr. Vella, expressed Malta`s readiness to support Kosovo in its European integration processes, especially in visa liberalization, whereby, he assured Minister Çollaku that Kosovo and the Western Balkans will have Malta`s attention and support during its Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Minister Çollaku, met also with Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government, Mr. Owen Bonnici, whereby, discussed developments in Kosovo’s European agenda and reforms undertaken under this agenda that affected and developed all sectors in the country including justice.
