Minister Çollaku, by expressing gratitude to the Italy for the provision of ongoing support to Kosovo, confirmed that Kosovo has fulfilled all obligations, and thus rightly expects that EU will proceed with the signing of SAA and a positive recommendation for visa liberalization.
Upon this occasion, Minister Çollaku emphasized that integration of the Western Balkan countries into the European Union is key to the stability.
Whereas, on the other hand, the head of Italian delegation, senators from EU Policy Committee, Mr. Vannino Chiti, reaffirmed Italy’s support to Kosovo on its path towards EU integration, and in particular, on the two main priorities in regards to the European agenda related to visa liberalization and SAA. In this light, Senator Chiti congratulated Minister Çollaku and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for recent courageous and responsible decisions, which undoubtedly strengthen the sovereignty and the European perspective of Kosovo.
In addition, both interlocutors agreed on the need to intensify communication aiming to enhance trade exchanges, direct investments, cultural and economic cooperation in general.
