Prishtina, 15 March 2016 – Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, hosted today in a meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia in Austria, non-resident for Kosovo, Mrs. Eve-Külli Kala.
They discussed about the latest developments regarding Kosovo’s European agenda by focusing on visa liberalization process.
Minister Çollaku, informed Estonian diplomat that Kosovo is in the final stage of concluding this process, since it has met the set criteria and it is expected during this year for Kosovo citizens to travel without visas to the Schengen Area.
Minister Çollaku also spoke about the preparation of institutions for implementing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement which is expected to enter into force on 1 April.
In this regard, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia, Mrs. Eve-Külli Kala, congratulated Minister Çollaku, and offered the experience of its country in implementing the SAA.
Ambassador Kala reiterated the supporting stance of her country regarding visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens and in general for Kosovo’s European agenda.
