Minister Çitaku hosted the non-resident Ambassador of Japan in Kosovo

Minister Çitaku and Ambassador Iwatani discussed recent developments in Kosovo, Kosovo`s international consolidation, progress of the dialogue with Serbia and for deepening the cooperation between Kosovo and Japan.
In this occasion Minister Çitaku expressed gratitude to the people and the Japanese government for the assistance provided so far. Minister Çitaku stated: “Japan continues to be one of the most prominent donors in Kosovo and relations between our two countries are excellent, I hope this cooperation continues in the future in order to further develop our cooperation in all fields”.

Ambassador Shigeo Iwatani restated that: “Japan remains devoted to help Kosovo regardless to recent developments in the World Economy due to the fact that Kosovo`s stability implies stability for the entire region.”  In addition, Ambassador Iwatani declared that he remains enthusiastic with the devotion of Kosovar`s to build and develop their state and also promised that cooperation between Japan and Kosovo will be deepened even more and that the greatest help to Kosovo in this phase should be oriented in regenerating the economy.
