Prishtina, 13 April 2017 – Minister Ahmetaj hosted today in a meeting the Director of the World Bank Office Mr. Marco Mantovanelli.
On this occasion, Minister Ahmetaj thanked Mr. Mantovanelli about the cooperation and contribution that the World Bank has provided for many years, and since 1999 World Bank has supported Kosovo in many fields such as: infrastructure, energy, agriculture, education, private sector and other important fields.
Minister Ahmetaj stressed that even after the entry into force of the SAA, the World Bank’s contribution is very important for implementing the criteria that derive from this agreement. On the other hand Mr. Mantovanelli praised the economic stability and economic growth that Kosovo has achieved during the last two years. On this occasion Mr. Mantovanelli confirmed the continued support of the World Bank for Kosovo’s path towards European Union.
Minister Ahmetaj and Mr. Mantovanelli pledged to continue the partnership and dialogue between Kosovo and the World Bank in the future as well, in order to have better donor coordination for implementation of projects. –
