Prishtina, 10 March 2020 – Deputy Minister of European Integration, Taulant Kryeziu, participated in a panel discussion for SAA implementation and gender equality aspects in this process.
This activity was organized by KIPRED Institute within the Project “Increasing accountability and capacities of Kosovo Institutions for implementing SAA requirements on Gender Equality”, on which occasion the Report titled “Lessons learned and planning the future: Gender Analysis of the National Program for Implementation of Stabilisation and Association Agreement 2019-2023.” On this occasion, the Deputy Minister Kryeziu summarized the level of SAA implementation over these four years following the entry into force, and European Reform Agenda. He also highlighted the importance of the gender aspect in this process and some of the issues to be prioritized during this year.
He further underlined that gender aspect is generally a priority for Kurti’s Government, as reflected in the Government Programme approved last week, as well as in priority areas of the SAA, as a binding agreement for EU integration.
Deputy Minister Kryeziu also highlighted that the Ministry of European Integration and Government in entirety are ready to improve the gender mainstreaming throughout the European integration policies framework, in close cooperation with the civil society.
In addition to the Deputy Minister Kryeziu, Reyes Charle-Cuellar, Gender Adviser at the European Union Office in Kosovo, and Taulant Hoxha, Executive Director of the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) participated in the panel discussion as well.
