Prishtina, 9 December 2015 – Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku together with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Isa Mustafa, have met today the ambassadors of the European Union member states in Kosovo.
The topic of the meeting was fulfilment of criteria regarding visa liberalization. Prime Minister Mustafa and Minister Çollaku have informed the participants that Kosovo has met in entirety the technical criteria for visa liberalization and Kosovo expects from the EU to make a promised political decision, which would recommend lifting of the visa regime for the citizens Kosovo to travel to EU countries, starting from the next year.
It was also emphasized the importance that this process has for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, who should enjoy this basic right to move freely in the EU due to the zealous fulfilment of technical conditions from all responsible institutions, and the fact that any further delay would be unjustified.
