Kosovo boosted its preparations in light of European Commission visa liberalization related fact-finding mission

Prishtina, 30 June – Representatives of many Kosovo institutions met today to discuss the preparations being made for the reception of European Commission visa liberalization related fact-finding mission.

Deputy Minister of European Integration, Mr. Ramadan Ilazi, upon opening the meeting with representatives of  visa liberalization process technical working groups from all relevant institutions, reiterated that the visa liberalization is a national priority of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and as such it means an additional responsibility for all institutions to ensure fulfilment of all domestic tasks.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the institutions of Kosovo for boosting preparations as well as the European Commission for such a quick response to the June 5 report of the Republic of Kosovo, whereby assembled a team of experts prepared extremely well, who will remain in Kosovo starting from July 13 to July 17 “, stated Mr.Ilazi.

We, in line with all relevant visa roadmap blocks, established working groups, also appointed a chairperson for each group.

“The EC visa assessment mission is fundamental, considering that final report to be drafted after this visit will open the way for the next steps to the completion of visa liberalization process.”, stated Deputy Minister Mr. Ilazi.
