IPA 2014 programming is launched

The meeting was held with the presence of all beneficiary line institutions within EU assistance planning for the period 2014-2020. During the meeting they discussed timelines for preparations of concept projects for support from IPA and ways of organizing the working groups.

Earlier, within a cycle of discussions with all institutions involved,  MEI along with EU Office in Kosovo has drafted the National Strategy for IPA, a mutual document of Kosovo and the European Commission wherein are outlined priorities for financial support by the EU for Kosovo within the period 2014-2020.

For the next period 2014-2020, EU assistance in Kosovo will be focused on the following sectors: i) rule of law, ii ) energy, and iii ) agriculture. In addition, the horizontal measures for building institutional capacities will be supported as well as for economic and social development.

It is expected that within IPA 2014 concrete projects be programmed in the amount of 70 million Euros. Their preparation is expected to be finalized in March 2014.
