Greece supports Kosovo in regional initiatives and EU integration

Prishtina, 9 March 2017 – Minister for European Integration, Mimoza Ahmetaj received on information meeting the Ambassador of Greece in Kosovo, Ms. Constantina Athanassiadou.

Minister Ahmetaj thanked Ambassador Athanassiadou for continued help provided to our country by Greece. As well as for the readiness to support the inclusion of Kosovo in regional and international initiatives for Kosovo to be fully integrated into regional and international issues.

On this occasion they discussed about the advancement of Kosovo’s European agenda, respectively, the process of creating institutional structures and implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, European Reform Agenda, EU programs and the finalization of the visa liberalization process.

In the meeting, Minister Ahmetaj expressed her commitment for deepening the bilateral cooperation between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Greece, not only in the field of integration but also within the bilateral cooperation and regional initiatives.

Ambassador Athanassiadou underlined Greece’s continued commitment and unreserved help to Kosovo’s integration path and offered continued support within specific reforms in various fields.
