During the meeting, Minister Çitaku and Ambassador Athanassiadou reaffirmed the commitment and support of the two countries to advance with bilateral relations in the political, economical, trade and social dimension.
Minister Çitaku, after she informed the ambassador about continuous progress that is being achieved in Kosovo in all fields, stressed that Greece is an important partner of Kosovo and its regional neighbours. “Kosovo appraises the support that Greece has provided and continues to provide on building Euro-Atlantic perspective of our country,” said Minister Çitaku. Moreover, the Minister reaffirmed that both countries are mutually handling the relations with great devotion and respect.
Minister Çitaku and Ambassador Athanassiadou expressed their joint commitment to further strengthen the relations between Greece and Kosovo.
The discussions was also focused on the conclusion of negotiations for Stabilisation and Association Agreement as well as for cooperation between Kosovo and Greece in areas of common interest.
Among other things, ambassador Athanassiadou said that she will work to continue and enhance the cooperation that this office has with Kosovo institutions.
