Prishtina, 7 February 2016 – Deputy Minister for European Integration, Ms. Anila Statovci-Demaj, today had a meeting with a delegation from Croatia, led by the Ambassador of Croatia to Kosovo, Ms. Marija Kapitanović, in the composition of the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Croatia, Ms. Dubravka Vlašić-Pleše, and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Croatia, Mr. Zlatko Vnučec.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj discussed matters related to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), progress made and challenges faced on the implementation of the SAA. In this regard, Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj stated as follows: “Croatia was the very first country on which the SAA instrument was applied and the first country to successfully conclude the implementation of the SAA up to EU integration. Therefore, the Croatian experience is an extremely valuable example for Kosovo. We have already established good relations between our two countries in this regard, hence the recommendations on successful implementation and management of SAA from our friend Croatia could serve as a roadmap to this process.

Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Kapitanović for the continuous cooperation and support provided by the Republic of Croatia to Kosovo, particularly in the European integration process. On the other hand, the Croatian delegation expressed readiness to advance cooperation between our two countries on issues of European integration, namely, increasing the level of support for the SAA.
