Prishtina, 6 Shkurt 2017 – The meeting focused on the processes related to Kosovo’s European agenda, the development of geo-strategic policies to the free movement and visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens, as well as the impact of elections of EU countries towards developments in Kosovo.
On this occasion, it was discussed over cooperation between our two institutions having in mind the agenda of Kosovo, as a key priority of the Government, and the support of Italy was consistent in advancing the European agenda in light with the request of citizens. Therefore, Italy’s support in this process has been ongoing and is always going to develop even further.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj briefed the Ambassador Sardi on the current developments with regards to the European integration process, namely advancing Kosovo in the implementation of the SAA and the challenges arising in the process. Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj underlined some positive developments in this process, Kosovo is marking a due progress with regards to the implementation of the SAA, and when compared with regional countries, that already underwent this process, Kosovo is standing well.
On his part, Ambassador Sardi confirmed the readiness of the Italian Government for Kosovo and especially to the European integration process by underlining that this is a good method for cultivating the future of society in all spheres and coexistence of communities within a country.
Deputy Minister extended her gratitude to the Italian Ambassador for his personal commitment to contribute to the development of Kosovo, respectively the efforts made to maintain and increase the presence of Italian investors in Kosovo.
