Prishtina, 28 December 2016 – Deputy Minister for European Integration, Ms. Anila Statovci-Demaj received in a meeting the Ambassador of Hungary in Kosovo, H.E Mr. Laszlo Markusz. On this occasion they discussed recent developments in Kosovo, namely the progress made in terms of the European agenda.
Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj emphasised that Kosovo is committed to enhance and strengthen cooperation in terms of accelerating its European integration path. Also, they discussed priority issues related to this process, including the rapid completion of the visa liberalisation process, implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, particularly on measures identified within the European Reform Agenda, as well as the EU financial assistance, political developments in the country, regional relations and other issues of common interest.
The Hungarian Ambassador confirmed to Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj his commitment, and that of the government he represents, to continue their support to Kosovo, particularly within the European Union.
Deputy Minister Statovci-Demaj emphasised the necessity of having the support of the Hungarian government in the rapid completion of the visa liberalisation process, thereby reconfirming the country’s European perspective.
