Croatia will continue to support Kosovo’s integration processes

Initially the Minister expressed his gratitude about the help and support that Republic of Croatia and Croatian people are providing consistently to the Republic of Kosovo. In particular, the Minister praised the great contribution of the Croatian state towards the European integration process of Kosovo.

Minister Çollaku informed the Croatian ambassador about the important developments related to the European agenda of Kosovo, especially about the work accomplished in the framework of the visa liberalization process for Kosovo citizens.

“Our institutions have met certain criteria for visa liberalization. We have worked hard for this process and have managed to conduct major reforms within this process. Currently we are in a decisive moment, and we expect to receive a meritorious assessment which will enable our citizens to travel without visas, during this year, in the countries of the Schengen area”, stated Minister Çollaku.

Also, the Minister of European Integration discussed with Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia about the preparations being made for the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, stressing that Croatia’s expertise in this point will continue to be welcomed for Kosovo’s institutions.

On the other hand, the new ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Kosovo, Ms. Marija Kapitanović has reaffirmed the support of her country for Kosovo, its path toward the EU and especially for the visa liberalization process for Kosovo citizens.

Also she stressed that Croatia will assist Kosovo during the implementation of the SAA.
