Prishtina, 25 April 2016 – The Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku today hosted in a meeting a delegation of Members of the State Parliament of Landtag of Nordhein Westfalen, Germany, who are also members of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs, led by the Chairman of the committee, Mr. Nicolaus Kern.
Minister Çollaku expressed his gratitude for the continuous support that Germany has provided to Kosovo in all fields, thus influencing the political and socio-economic development of the country.
Minister Çollaku discussed with the deputies about the commencement of implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, and emphasized that our institutions are committed implement the agreement within the foreseen deadlines.
Taking into consideration the economic potential of the Landtag of Nordhein Westfalen of Germany, the interlocutors emphasized the need of deepening economic cooperation, by committing their support in attracting investors from this Landtag.
During the meeting, Minister Çollaku also informed the delegation about the visa liberalization process, stating that Kosovo has fulfilled all criteria for liberalization, and is now awaiting a merit-based decision that would allow Kosovo citizens to travel without visas in the Schengen area countries as soon as possible.
Also, Minister Çollaku responded to the questions of the deputies on many issues related to the current developments in Kosovo.
