Prishtina, 6 February 2020 – In the framework of the ceremony for handing over the responsibilities of the Ministry of European Integration, former Minister Dhurata Hoxha officially handed over the office to the newly appointed Minister, Mr. Blerim Reka.
Minister of European Integration, Blerim Reka, thanked Mrs. Hoxha for her work and commitment so far.
On this occasion, Minister Reka stated that the appointment as Minister of European Integration of the Republic of Kosovo is both an honour and responsibility for him and that he will be maximally committed to fulfil the obligations deriving from the European Agenda and acceleration of the European Integration process in entirety.
Minister Reka also pointed out that he will discharge his mandate with full transparency and legality, and in maximum coordination and communication with citizens, stakeholders, civil society and media.
Minister Reka, among others, has experience as diplomat and professor.
During 2006-2010, he served as Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the European Union, Brussels. He has lectured in international renowned universities in the region, Europe and America. Minister Reka is professor of Public International Law and EU Law.
