Belgium supports Kosovo’s commitment to present the influx of asylum seekers from Kosovo to the EU countries

Deputy Minister Kasapolli highly appreciated the support given up to date from the Government and people of Belgium to Kosovo in the process of European Integration, Visa Liberalisation and economic development of the country.

During the meeting, in more details it was discussed on illegal migration and in this case Deputy Minister Kasapolli said that: As a Government of Kosovo and Ministry of European Integration we are committed at maximum to prevent this migration flux with all possible forms. At this time we are engaged with all our potential to inform public in all Kosovo with informational campaigns as well as with presentations in media in order to make aware the public of Kosovo that illegal migration and asylum in the EU countries is not a solution. ”.

The delegation on its part conveyed the message that every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo who is found illegally in the EU countries will be returned back and the prohibitions on banning the entry in the Belgium from 3-8 years will follow. On the behalf of the delegation, the General Director of the Immigration Bureau in Belgium Mr. Fredy Roseemont said that : ”Both Kosovo and other countries of the Western Balkans are safe places that are known as countries that are on the white list, where claims for asylum coming from these countries will be refused.
