Prishtina, 7 December 2017 – The Minister of European Integration met today two experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Giussepe Cipollone, IMF expert on the public investment sector, and Albert Touna Mama, expert on macroeconomics and finance.
At the meeting, Minister Hoxha highlighted the importance of investments in the public sector, the macro-financial stability of Kosovo and close cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
“Cooperation with the IMF is of strategic importance to the processes our country is going through. We are committed to the European agenda, so the implementation of the projects foreseen by this agenda, such as economic development, increase of citizens’ welfare, proves our readiness to be part of Euro-Atlantic integrations”, said Minister Hoxha.
“The programs foreseen in the European Reform Agenda are also closely linked to the joint activities with the IMF”, said Minister Hoxha, pointing out that she welcomes the support provided with regard to this agenda.
Mr Cipollone and Mr Touna Mama offered their support and expertise in favour of this agenda and stressed that IMF will provide their support in making the process more dynamic and implementing the foreseen projects. The IMF provides support in many areas that are essential to the Euro-Atlantic integration process, in particular to the Ministry of European Integration.
