Minister Hoxha: Kosovo to be involved in enlargement plans

Prishtina, 24 January 2018 – Minister Hoxha, in a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Didier Chabert, stated that any strategy related to the integration of Western Balkans without Kosovo would be incomplete.

Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met today with the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Mr. Didier Chabert, whereby discussed on processes that our country going through, with an emphasis on integration process.

“Our obligations are clear. We are committed to addressing them. We are convinced that our country should be reconfirmed as part of integration agendas even within the Enlargement Strategy, which is expected to be published in February of this year; Kosovo should have clear designations and definitions. Kosovo is firmly implementing SAA, and I therefore consider that any strategy for integration of Western Balkan without Kosovo would be incomplete”, stated Minister Hoxha.

Ambassador Chabert stated the importance of SAA, fight against corruption and European Reform Agenda, by offering full support to the integration processes of the Republic of Kosovo.

“France stands by you, as it was in the most difficult situations of your new history. We see Kosovo as part of the integration agenda and integral part of the integration strategy for Western Balkans. Kosovo has much to do, but it will not be alone thought this process”, stated Ambassador Chabert, praising the continuous engagement of institutions in integration process.
