Berlin, 6 June 2019 – The Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, attended today in the International Meeting of Berlin, which was also attended by many representatives of the German state, different parliaments, governments, administrations, economy and society, as well as state representatives and ambassadors of more than 50 countries around the world. Such gatherings provide good opportunities for networking and discussion of issues that contribute to peace and mutual co-operation between states.
At this gathering, Minister Hoxha had the opportunity to meet with many of these participants whereby informed about the latest developments in Kosovo, our vision to European Union (EU) integration, and raised the issue of visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens, calling for support of Kosovo in this regard. During these talks, Minister Hoxha stated that the European Parliament supported the European Commission’s proposal for visa liberalization and now this issue is in the hands of the Council and the European Union member states.
In this regard, Minister Hoxha considered that this process would affect economic, cultural and educational development – especially in expanding opportunities for our youth, as representative of EU values.
