Prishtina, 22 September 2017 – The Minister of European Integration, Ms. Dhurata Hoxha today meet with the Ambassador of Croatia to Kosovo, Ms. Marija Kapitanović. During the meeting they discussed cooperation within the European Agenda.
Minister Hoxha emphasised that Croatia was, and remains, a model for Kosovo to follow with regard to successful integration in the European Union.
“Kosovo needs the Croatian experience and expertise in implementing the SAA, so that it can make use of such successful experiences” stated Minister Hoxha.
Moreover, the interlocutors discussed the progress in implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), considering that Croatia was the first Western Balkan country to apply the SAA instrument, and the manner how challenges deriving from this process were managed.
Additionally, the European Reform Agenda, EU programs and the Government’s plans to move forward in the Visa Liberalisation process were some of the topics of discussion.
Finally, Ambassador Kapitanović congratulated Minster Hoxha on taking office, and reiterated Croatia’s readiness to expand cooperation on the European agenda, as well as to support Kosovo and offer its country’s experience in this process.
