Minister Hoxha continues lobbying, secures Poland’s support

Warsaw, 14 February 2019 – The Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, was received in a meeting by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek, from whom she requested support in the process of integration as well as Poland’s vote for visa liberalization in the meeting of The Council of Ministers.

Minister Hoxha stated that Kosovo has fulfilled all the conditions for liberalization, expressing the concern of Kosovo citizens related to the unreasonable delays for free movement.

“Poland has always been a supporter of Kosovo. Now we are asking your support to vote in favour of visa liberalisation in the Council of Ministers as well as in other integration processes. We do not have any other alternative, European values are our only way forward”, said Minister Hoxha, adding that Kosovo is successfully implementing the reforms and the SAA.

Poland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek, stated that Poland has supported so far the visa liberalization process and will continue to do so in the future adding that Poland will not be an obstacle to this process. In addition, the deputy minister offered Poland’s support not only in the integration process and visa liberalization but also in Kosovo’s integration into international organizations and other advancements in its integration path.

During this visit, Minister Hoxha also held meetings in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, with the Secretary General, Renata Szczech, from whom she requested the vote of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Council of Ministers for visa liberalization for our citizens. The Secretary General assured that Kosovo has Poland’s support for visa liberalization.
