Brussels, August 30th, 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Ms. Dhurata Hoxha, congratulated the citizens, from Brussels, on the occasion of the positive decision of the LIBE Commission regarding visas.
Minister Hoxha stated that “Kosovo has fulfilled all the conditions that have been required and we expect the decision-making process to be completed within this year, but now everything depends on the EU institutions. It is time for Kosovo to be rewarded regarding the fulfilment of all the criteria and for our citizens to move freely“.

“Dear citizens,
The LIBE Commission just voted positively for the visa liberalization for Kosovo. This is also a step towards free movement and a common success on getting closer with the European family.
After the Commission voted, the process continues with the plenary session of the European Parliament expected to be held in mid-September, then with the Council of Ministers and so on.
Kosovo has met all the conditions that have been required and we expect the decision-making process to be completed within this year, but now everything depends on the EU institutions.
It is time for Kosovo to be rewarded regarding the fulfilment of all the criteria and for our citizens to move freely.
The well-being of our citizens is and should always be our priority. Our citizens deserve the free movement.
