Prishtina, 30 October 2017 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha hosted in a farewell meeting, Mrs. Ulrike Lunacek, rapporteur for Kosovo at the European Parliament, and Mr. Igor Šoltes, MEP, member of the Group of Green Parties in the European Parliament.
The dynamics of the integration process by the Government and the ministry cabinets for certain sectors has already given its first results, therefore, emphasized Minister Hoxha, we look forward to support for resolving the remaining challenges. Being a farewell meeting, Minister Hoxha extended her sincere gratitude to Mrs. Lunacek for her contribution to Kosovo’s progress.
“The integration process is a major issue of our country. In this regard, we thank the friendly states and extraordinary friends as Mrs. Lunacek who stays constantly close to us by guiding and supporting us with comprehensive assistance. Also, you, Mrs. Lunacek, were our strong advocate with your advice, expertise and capacity at all levels, especially within the European Parliament”, emphasized Minister Hoxha and added that Kosovo still needs her support.
Rapporteur at the European Parliament for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, during this farewell meeting, stressed that she is pleased that the integration process is essential to the strategic orientation of Kosovo’s institutions, by highlighting special components such as law enforcement, the fight against corruption, economic development and good neighborliness.
Mrs. Lunaçek, by concluding added that she has best emotions when she sees Kosovo’s progress in fulfilling the integration process. Mrs. Lunacek was also accompanied by MEP Igor Šoltes, from the Green Party of Slovenia, expected to succeed Mrs. Lunacek, in the position of rapporteur at the European Parliament.
