Priština, 24 jul 2013 – Ministarka Çitaku sastala se sa Ambasadorom Ujedinjene Kraljevine na Kosovu, g. Ian Cameron Cliff, u prvoj poseti nakon davanja zelenog svetla od strane Evropskog Saveta za početak pregovaranja Sporazuma o Stabilizaciji i Pridruživanju (SSP). U svojstvu zemlje koja će početi pregovore o SSP-u, Ambasador Cliff je upoznao Ministarku Çitaku o objavljivanju izveštaja razmatranje bilansa nadležnosti EU-a. Ovaj izveštaj je dostavljen svim državama članicama Evropske Unije, zemljama članicama i zemljama koje su potencijalni kandidati za članstvo u Evropskoj Uniji.
Takođe se razgovaralo i o najaktuelnijim pitanjima u zemlji kao i o poslednjim dešavanjima, procesu Evropskih Integracija, kao i o novoj nastaloj situaciji sa tokom tražioca azila sa Kosova.
U kontekstu Evropskih Integracije, diskutovalo se detaljnije o pripremama za početak pregovora o Stabilizaciji i Pridruživanju (SSP), ispunjavanju paketa zakonodavstva i pratećih pitanja o liberalizaciji viza, regionalnoj saradnji i poboljšanju dobrosusedskih odnosa kao kriterijum za unapređenje sa Evropskim Integracijama.
Ovim povodom Ministarka Çitaku je naglasila posvećenost Vlade Kosova kako bi se suočavala sa povećanim odgovornostima kao i sa unapređenjem Evropske agende, istovremeno sa koordiniranjem unutar Kosovskih institucija za sprečavanje ilegalnog migriranja i toka tražioca azila od sa Kosova ka zemljama članicama Evropske Unije, što je beležilo enormni porast poslednjih meseci.
Sa njegove strane Ambasador Cliff, izjavio je da: “Ujedinjena Kraljevina će nastaviti da pomaže Kosovu u njenom daljem radu ka potpunom integrisanju u Evropskoj Uniji, i rekao je da će se odnosi između naših dveju država ojačati dodatno.”
Ministarka Çitaku se zahvalila ambasadoru Ujedinjene Kraljevine za kontinuiranu podršku koja je data Kosovu.
