Ministri i Integrimeve Evropiane, z. Blerim Reka, priti Shefin e Njësisë për Kosovën dhe Maqedoninë e Veriut në Komisionin Evropian, z. David Cullen, me të cilin diskutoi procesin e integrimit evropian dhe hapat që Republika e Kosovës duhet t’i ndërmarrë në këtë proces.
U diskutua gjithashtu për Metodologjinë e re të Zgjerimit të përgatitur nga Komisioni Evropian dhe për ndikimin e saj në zgjerimin e BE-së në Ballkanin Perëndimor. Më tej u theksua nevoja për të intensifikuar veprimet në lidhje me zbatimin e Marrëveshjes së Stabilizim Asociimit dhe të Agjendës për Reforma Evropiane, përfshirë sa i përket luftës kundër korrupsionit dhe krimit të organizuar. U trajtua gjithashtu rëndësia e maksimizimit të potencialit të ndihmës së IPA-s.
U theksua edhe rëndësia e mbajtjes së komunikimit të rregullt ndërmjet palëve Kosovë-BE, si dhe koordinimi i të gjitha aktiviteteve përmes kësaj Ministrie me institucionet e tjera qeveritare.
Ministri Reka theksoi se: “Qeveria Kurti ka vendosur prioritetet që kontribuojnë në procesin e integrimit evropian dhe reformat e parapara me Agjendën për Reforma Evropiane. Kosova është në dijeni të përgjegjësive të saj ndërsa mbështetja e institucioneve të BE-së dhe e Shteteve Anëtare është më se e mirëseardhur për të ecur përpara së bashku në këtë proces.\”;
Z. Cullen tha se reformat janë rruga e duhur përpara dhe kërkoi angazhim të fuqishëm politik. Z. Cullen gjithashtu shprehu gatishmërinë e Komisionit Evropian për ta mbështetur Kosovën në rrugën e saj drejt integrimit evropian.
