The work to integrate Kosovo into the European Union is a joint effort involving all institutions, but the main responsibility for coordination lies with officials from the integration structures.
Hundreds of emails and dozens of documents, phone calls, and coordination meetings are exchanged every day between institutions and integration officials. The intensity of this work continues to increase as the number of instruments grows and Kosovo moves closer to the EU.
For the daily work they carry out behind the scenes, away from public attention, I thanked them and we discussed the challenges and opportunities together.
Human capital is both a challenge and an opportunity. A challenge, because reforms require well-prepared staff covering every sector across the 33 chapters of EU integration, which encompass every area of life.
An opportunity, because proper preparation, planning, and professional commitment turn vision into practical reforms and policies that bring about change.
And it is precisely the daily reforms, laws, and bylaws aligned with those of the European Union that bring about transformation, strengthen democracy, develop the country, and improve the lives of citizens.
It is precisely in this change that integration officials find their motivation, and nearly all of them are beneficiaries of study scholarships covering the various chapters of the integration process.
