On the sidelines of the ministerial in Dublin, I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Carl Hertzell, Director General for EU Affairs at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
I thanked Mr. Hertzell and expressed my gratitude for Sweden’s continued support for Kosovo over the decades. As one of the countries with the highest public support for EU enlargement, Sweden is an important voice in supporting Kosovo’s advancement in our European Union membership process.
With Mr. Hertzell, we discussed ways in which Sweden’s support can help build a broader consensus among member states on advancing candidate status.
