Last week, he was received at the German Bundestag by Dr. Anton Hofreiter, Chair of the Committee on European Union Affairs; Anton Hofreiter, Chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs, while today the Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Mr. Jeton Zulfaj, welcomed him to the building of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

Following discussions held last week in Berlin, Chief Negotiator Zulfaj emphasized that Kosovo’s membership in the European Union is in the common strategic interest of Kosovo and the EU. He highlighted that Germany has invested in Kosovo’s security and development, while Kosovo has transformed this support into a consolidated democracy that serves as an example in the Western Balkans.

Kosovo is fully aligned with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy and remains committed to the fundamental values ​​set out in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union. In this regard, Chief Negotiator Zulfaj underscored the importance of the German Bundestag’s active support and proactive engagement in advancing Kosovo’s EU integration process.

The meeting also addressed the importance of institutional stability.
