The Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj, concluded his participation in the informal meeting of Ministers for European Affairs, held on 10–11 May in Nicosia,Cyprus.
On the second day, Mr. Zulfaj participated in the thematic session on enlargement. Thanking the Cypriot Presidency of the EU for the organization, Mr. Zulfaj emphasized in his remarks the importance of granting Kosovo candidate country status and opening negotiations with the EU.
Chief Negotiator Jeton Zulfaj also had the opportunity to advance this message during the working dinner and on the margins of the summit with ministers, heads of delegations, and representatives of the European Union, including Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of DG ENEST at the European Commission; Joakim Strand, Finland’s Minister for European Affairs; Benjamin Haddad, France’s Minister Delegate for European Affairs; Christian Danielsson, State Secretary to Sweden’s Minister for European Union Affairs; Frank Arnauts, Director for EU Strategic Policies at Belgium’s Directorate-General for European Affairs and Coordination; and Angèle Da Cruz, Luxembourg’s Ambassador to Türkiye.
