It was also discussed regarding current issues in the country, for the latest developments, European integration process, and the new situation created with the influx of asylum seekers from Kosovo.
In the context of European integration, it was discussed in more details regarding preparations to start negotiating the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA), fulfilling the legislative package and accompanying issues regarding visa liberalization, regional cooperation and improve neighborly relations as a criterion for advancement with European integration.
On this occasion Minister Çitaku stressed the commitment of the Government to cope with enhancing responsibilities as with advancing of the European agenda, same time with coordination within the Kosovo institutions in order to prevent illegal migration influxes of asylum seekers from Kosovo to the European Union member states, which has increased enormously during these recent months.
On his site Ambassador Cliff, said: “The United Kingdom will continue to support Kosovo on its path towards full integration into European Union, and that the relations between our two countries will further strengthen.”
Minister Çitaku thanked the United Kingdom Ambassador for given ongoing support to Kosovo.
