The Chief Negotiator with the EU, Jeton Zulfaj, today received the Ambassador of Hungary, László István Dux.

The Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj, today received the Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo, László István Dux, in a meeting focused on bilateral relations and the agenda of Kosovo’s EU membership.

Mr. Zulfaj congratulated Ambassador Dux on the elections held on Sunday in Hungary and praised the high turnout of citizens as an important indicator of support for European values. Ambassador Dux congratulated Mr. Zulfaj on his new position and expressed his support for the reform process towards EU membership.

Mr. Zulfaj focused on the formalization of candidate status and the opening of negotiations for EU membership, a process that should be guided by merits and on equal conditions and opportunities for advancement in the process.

The meeting also discussed the strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations.
