The meeting with Ambassador Malaj comes after the fruitful meeting of Chief Negotiator Zulfaj in Tirana with the Chief Negotiator and Minister of State, Ms. Majlinda Dhuka, at the beginning of the week, where they discussed the steps that Kosovo can take and the assistance that Albania can offer.
Chief Negotiator Zulfaj thanked Ambassador Malaj for the visit and emphasized that the priority of his mandate is to secure the status of a candidate country and the opening of negotiations with the European Union.
Ambassador Malaj congratulated Mr. Zulfaj on his new assignment and offered Albania’s cooperation and assistance in the process of Kosovo’s accession to the European Union.
We are pleased with Albania’s progress and advancement on the path towards membership in the European Union, said Mr. Zulfaj highly praised the meeting in Tirana and the willingness of Chief Negotiator Dhuka to share Albania’s experience with Kosovo.
